With these creatures comes a dark and sinister undertone, and episodes can get very intense as the citizens of Wayward Pines try to escape from the Abbies. There is a fair amount of gore, once (spoilers) the Abbies are introduced from outside the town's electrice fence as mutants who eat humans. It is, however, rated TV 14+ for a reason. The second season brings even more depth to this spooky town. If you do want to read more about those classic fantasy epics, and other essential fantasy novels, you can do so right here. Just bear in mind you won’t find any standalone fantasy books here, or even The Lord of the Rings and Gormenghast, since they were both envisioned as singular epics. It's still a cute novella, short and still full of action, however, the two things that bothers me still is: Dex and Sloane were apart for most of the book and it doesn't feel right that Wolf is better than Sloane. ![]() ![]() ![]() The term “obesity” refers to the hormonal problem, and the resulting fatness is the main symptom. ![]() ![]() Thus, Fung argues, obesity isn’t caused by overeating-overeating is caused by obesity. This effectively compels you to overeat in order to store fat until you reach the weight your body “thinks” it should be at. In addition, we’ll compare Fung’s ideas with perspectives from similar books on obesity, including Why We Get Fat and Salt Sugar Fat. We’ll explore how the body processes food, learn why not all carbs are bad, and discover which foods to avoid at all costs. In this guide, we’ll show why dieting doesn’t work and why exercise actually has little impact on weight loss. In this guide, we unpack Fung’s theory of obesity, which he developed after observing the weight gain that insulin caused in his diabetic patients, along with his solution for overcoming it. Fung challenges this view, laying out a comprehensive theory of obesity as a hormonal disorder that causes overeating, rather than the other way around. ![]() For decades, experts have believed that obesity was a matter of excess calories-that is, that people get fat from overeating.
